Real Madrid star Luka Modric inspired Croatia to victory over Brazil in the quarter final of the on going World Cup 2022.
Croatia national team have advanced into the semi final after they knocked out World number one, Brazil on Saturday evening after penalty shoot out.
Going into the game, Brazil were favourites due to manner they have dominate teams in the tournament so far.
After 90th-minute, the game was stretched into extra time. Neymar gave Brazil the lead in the 105 minutes. But Croatia equalised in the closing stages when Petkovic came off the bench to score.
Meanwhile Brazil missed their two penalties, with Real Madrid youngster Rodrygo missing the first before PSG defender Marquinhos missed the second.
After the game, Luka Modric was pictured hugging the 20 years old Brazil as he encouraged him. "I'm confident Rodrygo will get stronger after this," Luka Modric back the Real Madrid talent to come back stronger.
Croatia will now face Argentina in the semi final after the Argentine defeated Netherlands in a penalty shoot out last night.
