Former Chelsea and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud was presented with a special shirt after becoming France all time top scorer.
Giroud who seems to be having a great tournament in Qatar bagged his 52nd goal against Poland in their round of 16 match.
After receiving a special France shirt honoring his 52 goals for the nation, the striker gave a speech and praised the team in Qatar.
The team, which included players like Raphael Varane, Antoine Griezmann, and Kylian Mbappe, as well as the 36-year-manager old's Didier Deschamps, sent their sincere congratulations.
France are the defending champion of the FIFA World Cup haven won the competition in 2018, Russia beating Croatia in the final.
Last week Sunday, the AC Milan player made history when he defeated Henry to win the World Cup goal against Poland.
Meanwhile France will now face England in the quarter-finals this weekend as they hope to join countries to have defended the FIFA World Cup.
Oliver Giroud debut for France
The 36-year-old Giroud made his debut for France in a friendly victory over Germany in February 2012, and over the past ten years, he has risen the ranks. Giroud scored his 52nd goal for France with a straightforward, elegant finish.
In November 2011, Giroud made his debut for the national team. Since then, he has played 117 times for his country.
He has scored one hat-trick and 10 braces, including the two goals he scored in their 4-1 victory against Australia in Qatar, bringing his career total for Les Bleus to fifty goals.
Five years had passed since his 25th goal in international competition, which he accomplished with the second goal of his lone hat-trick against Paraguay in 2017.
Thierry Henry's record for France
Thierry Henry, who is serving as Belgium's World Cup assistant coach, scored 51 goals for France between 1998 and 2009.
Michel Platini, the previous record holder, was overtaken by the former Arsenal and Barcelona forward in an October 2007 European Championship qualifying match against Lithuania.
With 42 goals, Antoine Griezmann is third on the record, one more than Platini, while Karim Benzema is fifth with 37 goals.
