Following the completion of the Arsenal move, Brighton's manager apologized to Leandro Trossard.
Prior to Leandro Trossard's January transfer to Arsenal, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi had spoken on the Belgian international's position at the club.

Leandro Trossard, a leaving star who was introduced by new club Arsenal, has received an apology from Roberto De Zerbi.
Trossard, who had been a Seagull since 2019, made a £27 million transfer to the Emirates Stadium. De Zerbi, who removed the attacker from the team for the most recent Premier League triumph against Liverpool, had already expressed sorrow for how the issue had turned out.
Brighton now has the resources to look for a successor before the transfer window closes in January.
“I’m sorry for the last period, but I still would like to wish Leandro good luck for the future,” De Zerbi said as Brighton confirmed the transfer.
The former Genk player has seven league goals so far this season after scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool in the manager's inaugural game in charge.
“I’m sorry for the last period because I prefer when people are clear, not when there is some different behaviours," the former Shakhtar Donetsk boss had said earlier, confirming Trossard had wanted to leave. “But we will see. I think we are a good team, we can play well with Leo or without Leo.”
Danny Welbeck scored one goal and Solly March scored two goals to assist De Zerbi's squad defeat the Reds in the rematch after Trossard was sidelined the previous time out. They have already made investments in younger strikers and offensive midfielders this year as well, including a January transfer for Argentinean prospect Facundo Buonanotte.
Brighton will play Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Saturday in their first match since Trossard's departure.
The opportunity for the Belgian to take against De Zerbi's club won't come until May, when Arsenal hosts them in the third-to-last match of the year.
Trossard may make his Premier League debut on Sunday night when Arsenal plays Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium.
