Jadon Sancho expressed to fans how much he had'missed' scoring on social media soon after Manchester United's draw with Leeds.

In their Premier League match against Leeds, the 22-year-old was introduced in the 59th minute and scored an equalizer just 11 minutes later to give Man United a point.

Sancho, who has had trouble regaining his best form since moving to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund for £73 million in July 2021, was very moved by the goal.

In order to protect his physical and mental health during and after the World Cup, Sancho was forced to take some time off from United and train alone.

The former Borussia Dortmund forward rejoined the matchday squad for the second leg of United's Carabao Cup match against Nottingham Forest last week after a three-month absence.

The England international then entered the game against Leeds in the Premier League for United and scored.

Sancho used Twitter to post shortly after the game: 'I can’t tell you how much I’ve missed this feeling! Team showed great character to stay in the game, we go again on the weekend'.

In the aftermath of Sancho's goal at Old Trafford, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was overjoyed and couldn't help but praise the 22-year-old.

'He's all the way back,' said Ten Hag. 'I'm proud he did it. I'm backing him, the coaches are backing him, the team is backing but he has to do it by himself.

'It's in his own hands. If he wants, he can do it. I'm really enjoying seeing him playing the way he did with so much confidence and belief.

'We know he's a magnificent player. I think consistently he can have a big impact, but he has to work hard.'
