Erik ten Hag might suffer a setback if Alejandro Garnacho is out for Manchester United's last four games of the season.
The 18-year-old has participated in 29 games across all leagues this season and has scored four goals, including a spectacular game-winning strike against Fulham earlier in the campaign.
For their prospective run-ins with the Premier League and FA Cup, though, Ten Hag could be without the promising attacker.
Garnacho is expected to be nominated to Argentina's U20 World Cup squad, which will compete from May 20 to June 11.
If Man United defeats Brighton on Sunday, he will be forced to miss the FA Cup final as well as league games against Fulham and Bournemouth.
According to reports, Garnacho aspires to be a part of Javier Mascherano's team, who is the head coach of Argentina's U20 team.
The former player for Barcelona and Liverpool will go to England the following week in an effort to persuade Man United to let Garnacho play for his country in the domestic competition.
Garnacho will be one of the tournament's stars after barely missing out on a berth in Argentina's successful 2022 World Cup campaign last year.
