Roberto Firmino, a striker for Liverpool, is said to be considering a stunning summer transfer to Chelsea.

Firmino's decision to leave the Reds when his contract expires at the conclusion of the current season was revealed by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp last month.

The Brazilian's eight years at Liverpool, where he was instrumental in the team's success under Klopp, will come to an end.

Firmino has 109 goals in 360 games for Liverpool, including 11 goals in 33 appearances this season. When he becomes a free agent, he will have a variety of alternatives.

The Brazilian has been linked to a number of elite European teams, including Napoli, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, and Inter Milan.

According to reports, two additional teams are vying for his services, including Chelsea, one of Liverpool's Premier League opponents.

The 31-year-old is reportedly being pursued by Chelsea and Galatasaray, according to the Turkish daily Sabah (via Liverpool Echo).

Erdem Timur, the director of Galatasaray, is reportedly a "big fan of Firmino and thinks he would be the perfect fit for the club."

According to the report, Timur will speak with the agent of the Liverpool attacker next week.

Although Galatasaray 'think they can provide a longer deal and the possibility of Champions League play next season,' according to Sabah, Chelsea are also 'interested' in Firmino.

With just 30 goals in 31 Premier League games this season, Chelsea is in dire need of a striker.

Romelu Lukaku is expected to return to the west London club from his loan at Inter Milan, making it difficult to envision the high-spending Blues acquiring Firmino.
