Bruno Fernandes' fitness is a concern for Manchester United as they approach their critical encounter against Tottenham.

After barely defeating Brighton in their FA Cup semi-final on Sunday, United is still on track to win two domestic cups in Erik ten Hag's first season in charge.

After the game ended scoreless, United prevailed 7-6 in penalties, with Victor Lindelof scoring the victor after Solly March missed.

Carabao Cup champions Rival City will now take on United at Wembley on June 3 in the first all-Manchester FA Cup final.

United will now focus on the Premier League, where Ten Hag's team is now fourth and on pace to make the Champions League for the next year.

Following Sunday's 6-1 demolition of Newcastle, they will play fifth-place Tottenham.

Spurs must defeat United on Thursday to give themselves a chance to finish in the top four, since they are presently six points behind United despite having played two more games.

Prior to the midweek trip to Tottenham, United are concerned about Fernandes' health, according to ESPN.

In the opening period of United's victory against Brighton in the semifinals, Fernandes suffered an ankle injury.

At the time of his injury and at halftime, there were discussions on the bench about replacing Fernandes, but he was permitted to play on until he was finally removed in the first half of extra time.

The Portugal international was not wearing a protective boot when he was subsequently seen hobbling at Wembley after the game.

According to ESPN, the medical staff at United will evaluate him on Monday before deciding whether or not he can practice with the team this week and play against Spurs.

Given that United are already missing a number of injured players, such as Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, and Alejandro Garnacho, Ten Hag will be anxious to have his vice-captain available.
