Mrs. Jumoke Akindele-Ajulo, the first female speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, gave birth to her first child at the age of 54.
Akindele, a Peoples Democratic Party member who served in the Assembly from 2011 to 2019, rose to the position of speaker in 2014 until losing it in 2017.
She served in the Assembly as the Okitipupa State Constituency 1 representative.
On April 23, friends and colleagues in politics announced the good news online.
According to Segun Odidi, the kid was born on April 22, 2023, a Saturday.
“What God cannot do doesn’t exist. First Female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly delivered a bouncing baby on Saturday. Her first fruit!! What a cheering news! I'm so happy for you big sis. Congratulations Rt. Hon Jumoke Akindele," he wrote.
