Declan Rice, the captain of West Ham, reportedly said Mikel Arteta is "magic" and that he "can't wait" for his transfer to Arsenal, according to former Liverpool player Danny Murphy.
Speaking on FIVE, Murphy said he talked to Rice about his impending move to the Emirates when they met outside of a café.
“I’ve got to say, it’s worth saying I saw Dec on Sunday at the cafe.
“He was outside, I popped out to see him, I was just ordering a full English, actually.
Arsenal has scheduled Rice for his medicals after reaching a £105 million deal with the Hammers.
The midfielder for England will become the most expensive English player ever thanks to the deal.
“And we were chatting, and he was buzzing. He couldn’t wait to get to Arsenal. He said Arteta was magic when he met him,” Murphy said.
