President Bola Tinubu conferred new ranks on the new service chiefs on Monday.The event took place in the council room of the presidential residence in Abuja.
Christopher Musa, chief of defence staff (CDS), Taoreed Lagbaja, chief of army staff (COAS), Emmanuel Ogalla, head of navy staff, and Hassan Abubakar, chief of air staff, have all been honored.
Tinubu selected new service chiefs on June 19 after retiring those who served in the government of previous President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Senate ratified the service chiefs' selections on July 13 after reviewing them in a secret session that lasted more than an hour.
During plenary on July 19, the House of Representatives approved the service heads.
