Rio Ferdinand issued a stern warning to the feisty midfielder soon after Sofyan Amrabat's move to Old Trafford was announced.
If you recall that Manchester united signed Amrabat on season loan from Fiorentina on transfer deadline day.
The Premier League is known for its ferocity, and Ferdinand cautioned Amrabat that he would need to 'adjust fast' to the rigors of English football.
The former Manchester United player expressed worries over Amrabat's disciplinary history on Vibe with Five, noting that he had accrued a startling 16 yellow cards for club and country last season.
The summer-long chase by United of the Fiorentina phenomenon resulted in a £10 million transaction that was completed in the closing moments of the transfer window.
Previously managed by Erik Ten Hag, Amrabat, a 27-year-old Moroccan international who shined at last year's World Cup, will spend the season on loan.
Amrabat's aggressive attitude is expected to provide the Red Devils' powerhouse a much-needed combination of toughness and balance.
Ferdinand, though, is optimistic that Amrabat will have the "common sense" to rapidly adjust to the brutal pace of the Premier League.
Speaking to Joel Beya on Vibe with Five, Ferdinand stated: 'All players need to adapt, and if he can do that quickly, I think he'll be fine.
'The game is quicker than Serie A, definitely.'
Meanwhile Manchester united travel to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday to face Arsenal.
It's uncertain whether Sofyan Amrabat will be available for United's match.
The Moroccan underwent his medical examinations in Paris on Friday oj deadline day. He flew into Manchester United on Saturday for further examination and media briefing.
United could present the midfielder to the fans on Sunday prior to their kick off against Arsenal.
