Manchester City have lost their third straight game since the absence of their defensive midfielder, Rodri.

Pep Guardiola side lost 1-0 to Arsenal in their Premier League match day 8.

The Citizens travelled to Emirates stadium without Rodri whose serving the last match suspension from his three.

If you recall that the Spanish midfielder was sent off during Manchester City EPL clash against Nottingham Forest weeks ago. 

Rodri received his red card for grabbing Nottingham Forest ’s Morgan Gibbs-White around the neck.

It started after Newcastle United defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the Carabao Cup, then last week Wolves recorded 2-1 win. 

On Sunday evening, Gabriel Martinelli goal in the 87th minute ensured that City lost their third straight game. 

Meanwhile Rodri is expected to be back in the Premier League squad when Citizens host Brighton Hove Albion after the international break. 

Manchester City has not lost straight Premier League games since December 2018.
