Adekunle Gold recently took a moment to reflect on his career-defining single "Sade," which marked the beginning of his journey to stardom. 

Released in 2014, the song, a creative highlife cover of One Direction's "Story of My Life," gained widespread acclaim and set the stage for his rise in the music industry.

In a heartfelt post commemorating the 10th anniversary of the song's release, Adekunle Gold wrote: "10 years ago today, I released the greatest cover of all time; Sade." The track, which showcased his unique artistry, served as a turning point, leading to significant opportunities in his career.

"Sade" was created during a pivotal period in Adekunle Gold's life, when he faced professional challenges, including losing his job. Despite these struggles, he channeled his energy into music, which ultimately paid off as the song catapulted him into the spotlight and paved the way for his debut album, Gold.
