
Joe Gomez was forced off with an injury during Liverpool's dominant 5-0 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League today.
The defender, who appeared to suffer a muscle injury in the first half, was substituted in the 37th minute, with Jarell Quansah taking his place on the pitch.
Despite the setback, Liverpool cruised to an emphatic win, with Luis DÃaz opening the scoring in the 30th minute. Cody Gakpo added a second in the 40th minute, and Mohamed Salah netted just before halftime, putting Liverpool 3-0 up at the break.
The second half saw more attacking brilliance from the Reds, with Trent Alexander-Arnold scoring a deflected goal in the 54th minute, and Diogo Jota wrapping up the victory with a late strike in the 84th minute. With the win, Liverpool moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League, extending their impressive run of form.
