Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has officially acquired Georgian winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli for a reported fee of €70 million.
The 23-year-old has signed a contract extending until June 2029 and will don the number 7 jersey, previously worn by Kylian Mbappé.
Kvaratskhelia, who joined Napoli in 2022, played a pivotal role in their first Serie A title in 33 years, earning the Serie A Player of the Year award in 2022. During his tenure at Napoli, he amassed 30 goals and 23 assists over 107 appearances.
Expressing his enthusiasm, Kvaratskhelia stated, "I am very proud to join Paris Saint-Germain. I can't wait to start this new adventure." PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi praised him as a "talented and determined player."
This transfer marks Kvaratskhelia as the first Georgian player in PSG's history. His departure from Napoli comes after unsuccessful contract extension negotiations, leading him to seek new opportunities.
