Nigerian artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, captured attention at the Greater Lagos Countdown event. After delivering a stellar performance, the music icon left the stage to personally greet Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, an interaction that sparked excitement among attendees.
One enthusiastic spectator was overheard saying, “Come to your governor, bro!” as Wizkid approached the governor, adding to the lively atmosphere.
The event, hosted at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos, brought together some of Nigeria's finest musicians, including Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Niniola, Olamide, Adewale Ayuba, and Seyi Vibez. Organized by the Lagos State Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the celebration drew thousands, marking a vibrant start to the New Year with energetic performances and an atmosphere of unity.
