Mario Lemina is set to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers to join Turkish club Galatasaray in a transfer deal worth £2.5 million.
The 31-year-old midfielder, who previously had a loan spell with Galatasaray during the 2019–2020 season, is expected to finalize his return following Wolves’ acquisition of Marshall Munetsi from Reims.
Lemina has been a key player for Wolves since joining the club in January 2023, making 71 appearances and scoring five goals. However, his future at Molineux became uncertain after Wolves' new manager, Vitor Pereira, revealed that the midfielder expressed a desire to leave, citing mental unpreparedness to continue with the team.
The transfer is anticipated to proceed once Wolverhampton secures the signing of Munetsi in a deal reportedly valued at €18 million plus €3 million in add-ons. Lemina’s return to Galatasaray is expected to strengthen the club’s midfield as they continue their push in the Turkish Süper Lig.
