PSG Boss Luis Enrique Warns of Liverpool's 'Fighter Jets' Ahead of Champions League Clash

PSG boss Luis Enrique has expressed admiration for Liverpool's attacking prowess ahead of their Champions League clash, likening their forwards to "three fighter jets" and acknowledging their exceptional counter-attacking abilities. 

Enrique emphasized the importance of maintaining possession to counteract Liverpool's strengths, stating, "Liverpool has one of the best counter attacks in Europe so we will try to keep the ball and be careful not to suffer too much from transitions." 

He also praised Liverpool's overall performance, noting, "We are facing the team that has played the best football in the group stage. They were the most consistent side." 

Despite acknowledging Liverpool's strengths, Enrique remains confident in PSG's approach, asserting, "It's not our mentality to shield ourselves and remain defensive. We will attack." 

The first leg of the Champions League round of 16 between PSG and Liverpool is scheduled for Wednesday at Parc des Princes in Paris, with the return leg set for March 11 at Anfield in Liverpool. Both teams enter the fixture in strong domestic form, heightening anticipation for a compelling European contest.
