Cristiano Ronaldo delivered a standout performance on Friday, scoring twice in the second half to secure a 3-1 victory for Al-Nassr over rivals Al-Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.

The result moved Al-Nassr into third place in the standings with 54 points, just three behind second-placed Al-Hilal and seven adrift of leaders Al-Ittihad.

Al-Nassr opened the scoring in the first half through Ali Al Hassan. Ronaldo then doubled their advantage shortly after the interval, finishing off a move assisted by Sadio Mane.

The Portuguese forward later sealed the win with a late penalty in the 88th minute, awarded following a VAR review that confirmed a handball by Mouteb Al-Harbi. Al-Hilal’s only goal came from Ali Al Bulayhi, who headed in during the 62nd minute.

Ronaldo has continued to impress with his consistency in front of goal, with the 39-year-old now having scored at least 20 league goals in 15 of the past 17 seasons. His tally this season stands at 21 goals.

The win was also significant as it marked Ronaldo’s first triumph over Al-Hilal since joining Al-Nassr, ending a seven-game winless run against the side.
