Erik ten Hag Spotted Watching Roma vs Juventus Amid Managerial Speculation
Former Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag was recently seen attending the Serie A clash between AS Roma and Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico on April 6, 2025. The Dutchman, who left Manchester United in October 2024 after a two-year stint that included Carabao Cup and FA Cup triumphs, has yet to take on a new managerial role.
His appearance at the high-profile match has sparked speculation regarding a possible appointment at Roma, especially with current head coach Claudio Ranieri expected to step down at the end of the season. Despite the growing rumours, Ten Hag's representatives have denied any formal discussions with the club’s hierarchy.
During his visit to Rome, Ten Hag was reportedly a guest of Roma's owners, the Friedkin Group, and is said to have toured the club's training facilities—further fuelling talk about his interest in a potential role at the Italian side. However, neither Ten Hag nor Roma have issued any official statements confirming such intentions.
As for the match, AS Roma and Juventus played to a 1-1 draw. Juventus took the lead five minutes before halftime through Manuel Locatelli, who scored with a precise effort from outside the box. Roma responded early in the second half, with substitute Eldor Shomurodov finding the net after pouncing on a rebound off the crossbar.
