Arsenal’s squad has departed for Madrid ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid, set for Wednesday, April 16, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The Gunners head into the tie with a commanding 3-0 lead from the first leg at the Emirates Stadium, a result highlighted by a solid team performance and two goals from set pieces by Declan Rice.

Manager Mikel Arteta received a major boost with the return of midfielder Thomas Partey and defender Ben White to training. Both players are expected to be part of the travelling squad. Partey was substituted during Arsenal's recent draw with Brentford due to discomfort, while White was absent from that match. However, the team will be without Jorginho, who has been ruled out due to a rib injury.
Despite their strong advantage, Arsenal remains cautious, given Real Madrid’s storied history of dramatic comebacks in European competition. The Spanish side will be without suspended midfielder Eduardo Camavinga and may also miss several key players, including Ferland Mendy and Dani Carvajal, due to injury.

This encounter is especially significant for Arsenal, who are aiming to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time since the 2008–09 season. The club also boasts a strong head-to-head record against Real Madrid, remaining unbeaten in their previous three meetings without conceding a goal.

Kick-off for the highly anticipated second leg is scheduled for 8:00 PM local time (2:00 PM ET).
