FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has confirmed that goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will return to the starting lineup for Saturday’s LaLiga match against Real Valladolid.
This will mark Ter Stegen’s first appearance since suffering a serious knee injury in September 2024, which kept him sidelined for over seven months. Flick highlighted the goalkeeper's impressive form in training and stated, “Marc will play tomorrow.”
Although Ter Stegen’s return is a major boost for Barcelona, Flick clarified that this decision currently applies only to the Valladolid match. With a packed schedule ahead, including a Champions League semi-final against Inter Milan, Flick noted the need for squad rotation to maintain overall player fitness.
Barcelona currently leads LaLiga with 76 points, four ahead of Real Madrid, with five games remaining. Despite Valladolid’s relegation, Flick emphasized the need to stay focused and secure the league title.
