Ousmane Dembélé Diagnosed with Hamstring Injury, PSG Confirms
Ousmane Dembélé has been diagnosed with a hamstring injury, specifically a muscle strain in his right thigh, Paris Saint-Germain officially confirmed. The French winger sustained the injury during PSG’s 1–0 victory over Arsenal in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash at the Emirates Stadium, where he scored the decisive goal.
The club revealed in an official medical update that Dembélé’s condition is “evolving, progressing favorably,” but he is set to miss PSG's upcoming Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg. His availability for the return leg against Arsenal, scheduled for May 7, remains uncertain.
Manager Luis Enrique addressed the situation, stating: “It’s not serious, it’s something very minor, but he’s probably a doubt for the second leg.” He added, “If Ousmane can play, that’s better, but if he doesn’t, we’ll still be a real team.”
Dembélé has been a key figure for PSG this season, contributing 33 goals and 11 assists across all competitions. His potential absence could prove significant as the club aims for a historic treble, having already secured the Ligue 1 title and still contending for the French Cup and Champions League trophies.
