Luis Díaz Reaffirms Liverpool Loyalty Amid Transfer Speculation: "I’m Very Happy Here"

Liverpool forward Luis Díaz has reaffirmed his commitment to the club amid ongoing transfer speculation, expressing his contentment and appreciation for the support he's received since his arrival. 

“I’m very happy at Liverpool. They’ve treated me well since the first day,” Díaz stated, addressing rumours linking him to other clubs during the current transfer window. “We’re talking with other clubs. It’s the transfer window, it’s normal. If Liverpool renews my contract, or if I have to stay the two years I have left, I’ll be happy. It’s up to them.” 

Despite interest from clubs like Barcelona and Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr, Liverpool have made it clear that Díaz is not for sale. The club recently rejected an approach from Barcelona, emphasizing the Colombian international's importance in new manager Arne Slot's plans for the upcoming season .

Díaz's current contract runs until 2027, and while there have been reports of discussions regarding a potential extension, no formal agreement has been reached. The 28-year-old winger played a pivotal role in Liverpool's recent Premier League title-winning campaign, contributing 13 goals and five assists .

In a previous interview, Díaz expressed his gratitude towards the club and its supporters, saying, “The truth is that I am very happy to be here. Great years are coming for the club, I have no doubt about that.” He also highlighted the strong connection he feels with the fans, adding, “Seeing the fans sing that song, that beautiful song, leaves you something very nice marked for you, to take as a memory” .

As the transfer window progresses, Díaz's future at Liverpool appears secure, with both the player and club expressing mutual interest in continuing their partnership.
