Manager Hansi Flick made wholesale changes at halftime, introducing a fresh squad for the second half. Among the substitutes, Marcus Rashford made his Barcelona debut, playing approximately 23 minutes in what was a highly anticipated cameo.
Late on, debutants Roony Bardghji, signed from FC Copenhagen, and 17-year-old Pedro “Dro” Fernández, a La Masia graduate, found the net to seal the win. Bardghji struck in the 77th minute after a well-crafted assist from Robert Lewandowski; Fernández added the third shortly before full time.
Despite a shaky start—Joan García, the goalkeeper making his club debut, conceded a goal early on—Barcelona grew into the match and ultimately asserted control thanks to the depth Flick showcased across the squad.
Barcelona’s next preseason stops will take them to South Korea, where they will face FC Seoul and Daegu FC.
