Sunderland AFC have secured the signing of winger Simon Adingra from Brighton & Hove Albion. The agreement is valued at £18 million, with an additional £2.5 million in performance-based add-ons.
The 23-year-old has travelled to the North East by private jet and is currently undergoing a medical. Personal terms have already been agreed between the player and the club.
Adingra made 73 appearances for Brighton, scoring 12 goals and recording five assists across all competitions. His arrival marks another major step in Sunderland's ambitious summer recruitment, with total spending now approaching £100 million.
