Mikel Arteta has confirmed that William Saliba will be unavailable, and Gabriel Martinelli is also likely to miss the upcoming cup tie for Arsenal.
Saliba was substituted at half-time in the 1-0 Premier League win over Crystal Palace, with Arteta stating: “He’s out. We are assessing him but he won’t be involved in this match.”

Regarding Martinelli, Arteta added: “It looks as well that he is going to be out. We have to do some more tests and see the extent of the injury. But this game is going to be too early for him.”

On a more positive note, Arteta confirmed that Declan Rice, Riccardo Calafiori and Bukayo Saka are all fit and available for selection.

Arsenal’s next match is a Carabao Cup Round 4 fixture at home against Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday 29 October 2025.
