Wales took the lead early through Joe Rodon’s header in the 8th minute, but Belgium responded quickly. Kevin De Bruyne equalized from the penalty spot before Thomas Meunier put the visitors ahead before halftime.
In the second half, De Bruyne scored again from another penalty after a handball incident. Nathan Broadhead’s late goal for Wales offered brief hope, but Leandro Trossard sealed the victory for Belgium with a stoppage-time strike.
The win places Belgium at the top of Group J with 14 points, overtaking North Macedonia, who drew with Kazakhstan earlier in the day. Wales remain third in the group with 10 points, facing a tougher route to qualification.
