Rat Invades Pitch as Belgium Beat Wales 4–2 in Cardiff (Photos)

A bizarre moment unfolded during Wales’ World Cup qualifier against Belgium in Cardiff when a rat ran across the pitch, briefly halting play in the 66th minute. 

Referee Daniel Siebert stopped the game as officials ensured the animal was removed, prompting laughter among fans and players before the match resumed.

Belgium went on to secure a 4–2 comeback victory after Wales had taken an early lead. Joe Rodon opened the scoring for the hosts in the 8th minute with a powerful header. 

Kevin De Bruyne equalised for Belgium from the penalty spot following a handball by Ethan Ampadu, before Thomas Meunier made it 2–1 before halftime. De Bruyne struck again in the 76th minute to extend Belgium’s lead, but Nathan Broadhead pulled one back for Wales late on to make it 3–2.

 However, Leandro Trossard sealed the win for Belgium with a stoppage-time goal, ending the match 4–2 in favour of the visitors.
