Liverpool clinch 2–0 win over West Ham to end their slump

Liverpool secured a convincing victory over West Ham United, prevailing 2‑0 in the Premier League.

The deadlock was broken in the 60th minute when Alexander Isak struck home — his first Premier League goal for Liverpool — navigating a precise cross past the West Ham goalkeeper.

Liverpool doubled their lead deep into stoppage time. In the 90+2′ minute, Cody Gakpo chest‑controlled a pass and hammered the ball home to seal the win.

With this result, Liverpool halts a worrying run of recent poor performances and picks up a vital three points away from home. West Ham’s hopes were further dented by a late red card for Lucas Paquetá — shown a second yellow in the 85th minute — which effectively ended any chance of a comeback.
