What Julian Nagelsmann Told Chelsea After Reaching Agreement With Frank Lampard

German news sources claim that Julian Nagelsmann has had positive conversations with Chelsea and is still willing to take over as manager of the team in the summer.

Once Graham Potter left, Chelsea had discussions with both Nagelsmann and Luis Enrique in an effort to hire a replacement coach as soon as possible.

Frank Lampard has, however, been unexpectedly reinstated at Stamford Bridge as the temporary manager for the remainder of the campaign.

While this gives the team more time to look for a long-term replacement, it also increases the likelihood that they will pass up on potential hires like Nagelsmann, who has been linked with a number of prestigious organizations since being fired by Bayern Munich over the most recent international break, including Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Tottenham.

But, according to Sky Germany, Nagelsmann and Chelsea have had "good" first talks, and the 35-year-old views a transfer to the Premier League as his "next ambition."

As the team's interim manager, Frank Lampard has rejoined Chelsea and oversaw Thursday's practice at their Cobham facility.

This time, his first job will be to get the team ready for their match against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday before guiding them into the first leg of their quarterfinal Champions League match against Real Madrid on the following Wednesday.

Lampard has been unemployed since he parted ways with Everton in January. When he left the Toffees, they had not won any of their previous 10 games in any competition, and they were occupying the 19th position in the Premier League standings.

Chelsea is presently in 11th place in the league standings, 14 points behind fourth-placed Manchester United despite the latter team having played one less game.
